If you’re looking for a diet for constipation, then you’re barking up the right tree. Fortunately, constipation can be cured with a simple dietary change. If you’re not having a daily bowel movement, then something is wrong, and you need to eat one or more of the following foods in a meal-sized chunk each day until constipation is relieved. Take a gander at the following list, see how much of it you’re eating, and then try and guess why you might have constipation. Chances are that if you’re not eating from this list, you’re going to have constipation. Constipation can be caused by stress, but it is most commonly caused by lack of fiber in the diet.

Are bananas good for constipation? Yes, bananas are good for constipation. They are one of the twenty or so foods that can relieve constipation instantly. Apples, bananas, blueberries, cantaloupe, cranberries, figs, grapes, kiwi, prunes, raspberries, strawberries, asparagus, almonds, beets, carrots, spinach, cabbage, oats, rye, broccoli, and beans are some of the foods that can help with the aching problem of constipation. If you haven’t guessed already, most of these are fruits and vegetables which can be picked up in your local vegetable aisle of your favorite grocery store. There’s no foreign or exotic cure for constipation outside of a good diet. Some people are apt to take shortcuts to getting their dietary fiber needs built into their diet, and some of these people like making fiber shakes each morning.

In order to make a fiber shake each morning, simply take the following foods and liquids each morning and put them in a blender or coffee grinder before consuming as a smoothie, drink, or beverage in a liquid form that is capable of being drunk, eaten as a soup, or digested slowly in a liquid basis. Take flaxseed, hempseed, peanuts, orange juice, water, or milk, and mix them into one giant drink. Do this by using a commercial-grade blender and blending all the ingredients together. Ingredients like flaxseed may need to be blended into a coffee grinder first before being added because it is important to get them into a powder with the addition of a coffee grinder before eating any of them. These kinds of smoothies are incredibly useful over time as they can eliminate colon cancer, colitis, and constipation in an instant. Furthermore, they will keep the digestive system clean and not let waste matter accumulate. The flushing act of flaxseed is extraordinary, because the cellulose cannot be digested, and the fact of the matter is that you’ll be having perfect bowel movements every day if you’re taking a flaxseed shake each morning.

Other foods that are good for constipation include nuts, seeds, and exotic berries. Pomegranate seeds are an especially potent cure for the case of chronic constipation. Without the fiber of plant foods in your diet, you need to take a supplement that has a food base of ground plant food in order to get the constipation alleviated and your fiber flowing again.
